User privacy is taken seriously by the developers of Daily Steps, and this Privacy Policy applies to all data collected by the application. 

HealthKit

Daily Steps integrates with data from HealthKit, including step counts, walking + running distance, and active energy burnt. This data is collected from both a user’s iPhone and Apple Watch. 

The ability for Daily Steps to read this data is opt-in only, and you will be presented with a screen requesting access upon the first launch. 

This health data is used for display-only purposes and is never modified by Daily Steps. It is used for the relevant health data displayed by Daily Steps. It is your data, and it is not stored nor transmitted beyond your device. Accuracy is not guaranteed, use only as a guide. 

Daily Steps takes no responsibility for this data. Accuracy is not ensured, nor is the persistence of the data. It is up to you to ensure your HealthKit data is backed up as required.


Core Motion

Daily Steps requests access to your iPhone and Apple Watch CoreMotion data. Providing Daily Steps with this data is opt-in and at the sole discretion of the user. This data is read-only and used to display relevant health data within the Daily Steps application. Accuracy is not guaranteed, use only as a guide. It is your data, and it is not stored nor transmitted beyond your device.


Analytics

Daily Steps uses a third party analytics service, Fabric, in which anonymous data is collected about the usage of the application. Data collected includes, but is not limited to, how many times the app is opened and how long a user spent inside of the app. At no time are the developers of Daily Steps able to match the data collected to an individual, nor does Fabric display any personal data about the user to the developers of Daily Steps.
