Introducing Six Again on Android - Live NRL Scores on Your Lock Screen

I'm excited to introduce the Android version of Six Again. It joins the iOS app as the best way to check and follow NRL and State of Origin all season long.

Six Again launched earlier this year, and the response has been great. The single most common piece of feedback? "Make an Android version." So here it is.

Check the score without unlocking your phone!

Six Again is the only app that shows NRL scores through Android's Live Updates. Scores persist in the status bar, on the lock screen, and even the always-on display while your phone is locked. It's perfect for when you can't watch the game but still want to follow along. That's the headline feature, but it's one of many: lightning-fast score updates, a design themed to the teams you're looking at, match and player stats, a score worm, and a live ladder.

Two features are launching on Android first:

  • A no-byes ladder: See team rankings based on wins/draws alone, ignoring byes. This is a fairer way to see how teams are really performing relative to each other.
  • Avoid spoilers: Pick teams to opt out of Live Updates for, and hide their scores in the app for up to 24 hours after kick-off. It's perfect for when you're planning to watch a game back later, but still want to safely check the score of other matches. Both features are coming to iOS in the next update.

Pricing is the same as on iOS: free to download and use, with Live Updates free for your first 3 matches. Unlock them for every match and team for $9.99/year. Subscribing also lets you follow teams so Live Updates start automatically, and unlocks the feature to avoid spoilers.

As always, Six Again aims to be the best it can be on whatever platform it runs on - and like the iOS app, it's completely free of gambling odds and betting company partnerships. The focus is on a clean and fast way to follow the footy.

If you follow the NRL, I'd love for you to give it a go. If you like it, tell a friend. If something's not right, there's a Contact button in the app — please use it and let me know what you think.
